Hi there, you are reading this website because you are interested in the person behind a unique skillset that has traversed the media and health landscapes. In short I’m an health professional (post-doctoral researcher) who has a multi-disciplined marketing background with experience in web design, copywriting and videography production. I have lived in both the medical and marketing worlds, and although they are each different structures of knowledge, the mechanisms of explicating, explaining and exploring information systems is common to both. There is in my humble opinion a creative application of each discipline in particular the discovery-drive in both arts and science that moves both fields forward.
My academic/technical background is rooted in praxis, a meshing together of theory and practice. This means in advertising I was fortunate to make TVC’s, radio and print campaigns not just act as an account manager for others endeavours. After studying documentary film-making I shot and edited documentaries that explored the charitable output of an NGO and captured their input into health outcomes for low decile schools. In science and medicine I have carried out physiological research and clinical trials and continue to actively engage in cutting edge physiology and biochemical research.
With this aggregation of experience I have been fortunate to collaborate with amazing organisations and individuals, building brands for NGO’s (Child Hope Children’s Charity), high flying corporates (Ovation Channel) and company franchises (Real Estate Brokers). In science and medicine I have worked on the evolutionary physiology behind essential cardiac peptides, explored the optics of gait analysis and reaction time testing and then pioneered the integration of cardiovascular testing in chronic kidney disease patients for the prediction of disease progression.
As an individual, I strive for clarity in communication, with my first understanding being to determine a client’s needs and vision. I look forward to working with you, finding solutions that give life to your product/method/a successful brand story.
